2021 Cycosports – BIKE TRIAL CONTEST : APRIL 11TH
2021 Cycosports BIKE TRIAL Contest
BikeTrial is an individual discipline that tests the riders’ ability to overcome hurdles.
It is ridden on mountain bikes and special trial bikes.
The hurdles can be either natural (e.g. rocks, trees, streams) or artificial like those that might be found in urban areas (e.g. wooden pallets, tyres). The aim is to go through each “section” in a limited time, without the rider having any contact with the ground.
Staging area is at Centaurs HQ, near “The Karting Arena” at the South end of Centaurs Sports Park
Categories and Timing as below – these are subject to change, depending on sign-ups and approval from SportSG
See tab “Technical” for details about the above.
- All riders must wear shoes and an appropriate helmet. You can purchase one from our sponsors should you not own one.
- Your shirt must not be sleeveless.
- If you are unsure of your attire and equipment, please consult a marshal before the race.
- All BAR-ENDS must be protected and levers must not be broken or ground. Gear and accessories may be inspected before the race for compliance. This is for your own safety. If pros can get injured, so can you.
- Riders will be released 30 seconds/1 minute from each other and the sequence will be dictated by Race Director Walton Seah.
AGE Groups – for Cycosports / Jungle Cross events ages are as at 31Dec2020.
Podiums for categories with at least 3 sign-ups at the close of registration.
Please note that all riders should have their own medical insurance that covers them for MTB race and event activities. If an ambulance is required to take you to hospital, the cost of the ambulance will also be charged to you.
Your race number should be clearly shown on the front of your bike (normally attached in front of the handlebars). Please do not bend, fold or cut your number plate – you maybe disqualified in such cases.
The challenge will commence in front of The karting Arena, under the tenancy and permission of Centaurs Sports Park including some sections inside the trails. All participants and supporters must comply with all land and Covid regulations.
