2021 Cycosports-Airdroz Freestyle Airbag Championship – Round 1
Freestyle BMX/MTB is a discipline of riding where riders perform varying routines in sequence.
It can be on terrain such as bike parks, dirt jumps, street or constructed ramps.
For this championship, it will be conducted by Airdroz Park at our ramp and airbag facility overlooking The Karting Arena, by Race Director Mr Ariff Jufri.

- All riders must wear shoes and an appropriate helmet. You can purchase one from our sponsors should you not own one. Your shirt must not be sleeveless.
- If you are unsure of your attire and equipment, please consult a marshal before the race. All BAR-ENDS must be protected and levers must not be broken or ground.
- Gear and accessories may be inspected before the race for compliance. This is for your own safety.
- For BMX/MTB Sport 13-18 riders are welcome to race in categories above their age group (BMX/MTB Open 18+) as decided by their parents/guardians.
- Riders will be given a 5 minute practice run and another 5 minute competition run.
- All scores will be given by experienced judges from the sport and are final.
AGE Groups – for Jungle Cross events ages are as at 31Dec2020.
Podiums for categories with at least 3 sign-ups at the close of registration.
Please note that all riders should have their own medical insurance that covers them for MTB race activities. If an ambulance is required to take you to hospital, the cost of the ambulance will also be charged to the individual.
Your race number should be clearly shown on the front of your bike (normally attached in front of the handlebars). Please do not bend, fold or cut your number plate – you maybe disqualified in such cases.
The Airdroz facility is located in front of The karting Arena, under the tenancy and permission of Centaurs Sports Park. All participants and supporters must comply with all land and Covid-19 regulations.

Q: Will the Races be Timed?
A: No. The Airdroz Freestyle Airbag Championship 2021 is judged by a panel of seasoned pros.
Q: What are the Categories for the various races?
A: Please see the “Technical” tab for information about categories and age groups.
Q: How do I collect my competition bib?
A: Please be at the Centaurs Sports Park with plenty of time to do your safe entry, in the time window published, sign-in and pick up your timing chip and race number.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, all riders will be required to “safe distance”. As such, you will be directed to a “holding area” , where you need to stay until you are called into the start funnel.
Q: Can I cancel my booking once entered?
A: No, once paid, your entry is confirmed and non-transferable.
Q: Are there medals for every race category, both male and female?
A: Podium prizes and finisher medals will be provided for each category.
Q: How can I warm up before my race?
A: Please use the surrounding roads of Turf City and take caution to ensure you are back in time for your start time. It is advisable to do your main warm-up before safe entry. Q: Do you have medics on hand in case of emergency?
A: Yes we have a full medical team stationed at the event and ambulances on standby.
Q: Can I practice riding on the ramp?
A: Only if you purchase sessions from Airdroz Park prior to the race.
Q: I’d like to help out (volunteer) on the day – is that possible?
A: Absolutely -possible, depending on Phase restrictions. We always need help running these events. Please drop us a message here.
Special Rules – Phase 3
Unfortunately we are still constrained by many of the same rules as the previous events under phase 2.
S.D. / Holding Area
This will be in the car park opposite Airdroz Park.
After your check-in (Trace together App is mandatory), please head to an orange cone and affix competition bib. You will need to stay here until called into the start funnel. Masks must be worn up until you are at the start line.
